Your bridge to your Mac.
Styrhus makes your Mac visible and controllable from your phone — system stats, media and custom commands, as a tile board, directly and encrypted.
Norwegian for "wheelhouse" — the room on a ship steered from. Pronounced the Norwegian way: "Stürhus" — or, if that’s easier, like the English "steer house".

Live data
CPU, RAM, network, storage, uptime — as a number, a ring, or a time series, live on your device.
Your own board
Arrange tiles by drag & drop — any size, any order, exactly how you need it.
Plugin system
Media players, AI tool token usage, custom commands — extensible through a big community.
Directly connected, never through a third-party server
Your phone and Mac build a direct, TLS-encrypted connection on the same network. There is no cloud service in between that could see your data.
Paired once, recognized forever
When pairing, your phone remembers the fingerprint of the Mac's certificate. If the Mac ever shows a different certificate later, the connection is rejected.
Runs with your rights — never in secret
The Agent and its plugins run with no extra sandbox, exactly the rights of your Mac user account — nothing more. That's what lets a plugin control another app or run a command in the first place. A new plugin only ever starts after your explicit confirmation, never automatically.

Plugins extend the Agent with more tiles — media control, AI usage, and whatever comes next — without the phone or app ever needing to know about it.
The Agent is open source
The Styrhus Agent for macOS is licensed under Apache License 2.0 — the source is freely viewable, auditable, and contributions are welcome. The plugin protocol is openly documented, so anyone can write their own plugins.
